The Last Resort!
We love our cottage in Goulais Bay, just north of Sault Ste. Marie Canada. We have a 23' boat and it handles the big waves on Lake Superior great! The name of our boat is "Last Resort". The Eagles recorded a song called "the Last Resort" in 1976. The primary theme for the song is about how man keeps running away from violence and the chaos in our society. We seek out places that are unihabited and call them paradise. After a while those places become overpopulated and commercialized. Look at Aspen Colorado, a town where the billionaires have driven out the millionaires. Look at the city of Lahaina-on the island of Maui, it is so commercial. Man has a way a wrecking beautiful places! We spent five years living in LA, I remember standing on Zuma beach in Malibu one day wondering what it was like to have experienced the west coast back in the 1940's or 50's. Goulais Bay is our paradise. It's truly "Gods country". If you still can't understand it, come for a visit or listen to the song. The Last Resort can be found on the Hotel California album!

Hi...just stumbled across your blog. Sault Ste. Marie caught my attention. It's my hometown and I often don't see it in print...especially not in blogs!!! Nice pics.
